4D <br />3.8 ALLOWANCES <br />3,8.1 The Contractor shall include in the Contract Sunt all allowances stated in the Contract Documents. Items covered by <br />allowances shall be supplied for such amounts and by such persons or entities as the Owner may direct. but the Contractor shall <br />not be required to employ persons or entities to whom the Contractor has reasonable objection. <br />3.8.2 unless otherwise provided in the Contract Documents: <br />.1 allowances shall cover the cost to the Contractor or materials and equipment delivered at the site and all required <br />taxes, less applicable trade discounts. <br />.2 Contractor's costs for unloading and handling at the site, labor, installation costs, overhead profit and other <br />expenses contemplated for stated allowance amounts shall be 'included in the Contract Sum bill not ill the <br />allowances., <br />.3 wvhencvcr costs are more than or less than allowances, the Contract Sum shall be adjusted accordingly by Change <br />Order. The amount of the Change Order shall reflect (1) the difference between actual costs and the allowances <br />under Clause 3.8.2. l and (2) changes in Contractor's costs and other expenses under Clause 3.13.2.2. <br />3.8,3 Materials and equipment under an allowance shall be selected by the Owner in sufficient time to avoid delay in the <br />Work. <br />3.9 SUPERINTENDENT <br />3.9.1 The Contractor shall employ a competent superintendent and necessary assistants who shall be in attendance at the <br />Project site during performance of the Work. Other <br />communications shall be similarly confirmed on written request in cacti case. <br />3A0 CONT'RACTOR'S CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULES <br />3.10.1 The Contractor, promptly after being awarded the Contract, shall prepare and submit for the Owner's and ArchilccVs <br />information a Contractor's construction schedule for the Work. The schedule shall not excecd lirnc limits current under the <br />Contract Documents. shall be revised at appropriate intervals as required by the conditions of the Work and Project, shall be <br />related to the entire: Project to the extent required by the Contract Documents. and shall provide for expeditious and practicable <br />execution ofthe Work_ <br />3.10.2 The Contractor shall prepare and keep current, for the Architect's approval. as schedule of submittals which is <br />coordinated with the Contractor's constriction schedule and allows the Architect reasonable time to review submittals. <br />3,10.3 The Contractor shall perform the Work in general accordance with the most recent schedules submi(led to the Owner <br />and Architect. <br />3.11 DOCUMENTS AND SAMPLES AT THE SITE <br />3.11.1 The Contractor shall maintain at the site for line owner one record copy of the Drawings, Spccificalions. Addenda. <br />CIL ange Orders and other Modifications, in good order and marked currently to record field changes and selections made during <br />construction, and one record copy of approved Shop Drawings. Product Data, Samples and similar required submittals.
