9A <br />Consent Agenda <br />Indian River County <br />Interoffice Memorandum <br />Office of Management & Budget <br />To: <br />Members of the Board of County Commissioners <br />From: <br />Kristin Daniels <br />Director, Office of Management & Budget <br />Date: <br />March 7, 2024 <br />Subject: <br />Miscellaneous Budget Amendment 04 <br />Description and Conditions: <br />1. On February 20, 2024, the Board of County Commissioners approved the additional $2,500 <br />the City of Vero Beach had requested for their Fourth of July firework display. Exhibit "A" <br />appropriates $2,500 from MSTU Fund/Reserve for Contingency. <br />2. On February 20, 2024, the Board of County Commissioners approved the allocation of <br />$305,572 for the current fiscal year to fund the 19th Judicial Circuit Drug Court Program. <br />Exhibit "A" appropriates the revenue and expense to the Opioid Fund. <br />3. On February 8, 2024, the Board of County Commissioners transferred the Gifford Gardens <br />property to Habitat for Humanity. Exhibit "A" appropriates $3,227 from General Fund/Reserve <br />for Contingency to fund the remaining Indian River County Utility service availability charges <br />the County is responsible for. <br />4. The Florida Emergency Communications Board has approved special disbursements to each <br />county to enhance their cybersecurity capabilities as they transition to next generation, IP <br />based 911 systems. Exhibit "A" appropriates the $50,000 disbursement to the appropriate <br />revenue and expense accounts in the 911 Surcharge Fund. <br />5. On January 9, 2024, the Board of County Commissioners approved the Florida Department of <br />Health EleGARD Grant. Exhibit "A" appropriates $31,200 to the revenue and expense <br />accounts. <br />6. On March 5, 2024, the Board of County Commissioners approved an additional $20,000 be <br />awarded to Play Treasure Coast Sports Commission from the Tourist Development <br />Fund/Reserve for Contingency. Exhibit "A" appropriates the funding. <br />7. On March 5, 2024, the Board of County Commissioners approved modification #2 of the <br />Emergency Management Program Grant. Exhibit "A" appropriates $25,665 to the grant's <br />revenue and expense accounts. <br />Staff Recommendation <br />Staff recommends the Board of County Commissioners approve the budget resolution amending the <br />fiscal year 2023-24 budget. <br />23 <br />
