BUTLER, CLERK <br />WORK ORDER No. <br />SED TO ADMIN 144 FIBER <br />EXPANSION PROJECT <br />EXHIBIT A — SCOPE OF WORK <br />The COUNTY desires to retain Consultant services to develop construction documents and <br />obtain jurisdictional approvals to expand the COUNTY's fiber network facilities between the <br />COUNTY Administrative Building on 27th Street and the intersection of US Highway 1 and <br />Jackson Street in Sebastian, approximately 14.0 miles. The intended utility corridor will be <br />proposed to follow the northern and western limits of the following roadway Rights -of -Way: <br />• 27th Avenue <br />■ Aviation Boulevard <br />■ Old Dixie Highway <br />■ 53rd Street <br />• CR -510 <br />■ Indian River Boulevard <br />■ US Highway 1 <br />■ Jackson Street <br />The COUNTY also desires to provide cross connection cabinets the intersections of 53rd Street <br />and Old Dixie Highway, Indian River Boulevard and the Merrill P Barber Bridge, 87th Street and <br />US Highway 1, and Jackson Street and US Highway 1. The Consultant will also provide plans to <br />complete the segments of 96 strand fiber at the intersection of Indian River Boulevard and 53rd <br />Street and Indian River Boulevard and the Merrill P Barber Bridge. A 24 strand drop connection <br />will also be provided at the Indian River County Fire Station Number 5. <br />A. Fiber Infrastructure Plans: <br />The Consultant shall develop construction documents necessary to support the proposed <br />improvements along the corridors identified above. The following outlines that tasks and <br />submittals to be made: <br />Initial Plan Submittal: <br />The Consultant will create survey and raster -based plan sheets (11"x17", 40 scale) to <br />facilitate delineation of the proposed fiber optic cable (FOC) infrastructure improvements. <br />Existing right-of-way will be depicted using information collected during the Limited <br />Topographic Survey Task. Existing franchise utility record and/ or as -built data will be <br />requested from franchise utility providers operating within the project limits. This <br />information will be depicted within the raster -based plan sheets. <br />The Consultant will conduct a field review to visually survey existing connection points, fiber <br />optic pull/slack boxes, cabling and conduits, road geometry, existing utilities and other <br />existing elements to delineate a recommended alignment. The Consultant will evaluate <br />alternative routes such that the proposed fiber conduit installation be evaluated to <br />determine an efficient alignment/ crossing design.
