This level <br />should not be worn in the Exclusion Zone. <br />Level D Recommended Personal Protective Equipment <br />includes: <br />1. Coveralls; <br />2. Safety boots/shoes; <br />3. Safety glasses or chemical splash goggles; <br />4. Hard hat; and <br />5. Optional: gloves, escape mask, face shield. <br />9.2.2 Exposure Records <br />Each emergency worker is responsible for maintaining <br />his/her exposure record form and returning it to the <br />supervisor at the end of the emergency. All emergency <br />worker exposures will be made a part of his/her permanent <br />record, with a copy retained by the worker. <br />9.3 AUTHORIZATION OF EXPOSURE IN EXCESS OF PROTECTIVE ACTION <br />GUIDES <br />At his discretion, the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners <br />will, if necessary, authorize exposure of county emergency personnel to <br />exposure levels in excess of established recommended exposure limits <br />(RELs) after consulting with CHEMTREC.
