OWNER may perforin other work relaters to the <br />Project at the site by OWNER's own forces. or let other <br />direct conuacts therefor which stall contain Gcnerai Condi- <br />tions similar to thest. or have other work perforated by <br />utility ownem if the fact that such other work is to be <br />perforoted was not noted in the Contract Documents.. then: <br />(ii written notice thereof ws71 be given to CONTRACTOR <br />prior to starting any such other work. and Mil CONTILAC- <br />TOR may make x claim therefor as provided in Articles I l <br />and 12 if CONT'R.A=R believes that such performance <br />will involve additional expense to CONTPLA=OR or re- <br />quires additional time and the parties are unable to scree as <br />to the amount or extent thereof. <br />T? COMMACTOR shall afford each other contractor <br />who is a party to such a direct contract and cath utility <br />owner (and OWNER. if OWNER is performing the addi- <br />tional work with OWNER's employccz) proper and We <br />access to the site and a reasonable opportunity for the <br />introduction and Storage of MsEerWs and equipment and the <br />execution ofsuch other work and shall property connect and <br />coordinate the Work with theirs. CONTRACTOR shall not en- <br />danger any work of others by cutting, excavating or other- <br />wise altering their work and will only cut or alter their work <br />with the written convent of ENGINEER and the others <br />whose work will be affected. The duties and responsibilitics <br />ofC.ONT'RACTIOR underthis paragraph are for Ole benefit of <br />such utility owners and otherContractors to the extent that <br />there are comparable provisions for the benefit of CON- <br />TRACTOR in said direct contracts between. CONTRACTOR shall inspect such <br />other work and prumpdy reraon to ENGINEER in writing any <br />delays. defects ov dcficierxics in Sur•.h other work that render it <br />unavarTabhc or unsuitable for the proper execution and rwwlts <br />of CONTRACOR`s Work.
