Titkanich, Jr., County Administrator <br />David Johnson, Director of Emergency Services <br />Ryan Lloyd, Emergency Management Coordinator <br />FROM: Erin Sawyer, Mitigation & Recovery Specialist <br />Department of Emergency Services <br />DATE: February 29, 2024 <br />CONSENT <br />SUBJECT: Approval of Modification #2 of Emergency Management Program Grant (EMPG) <br />Federally -Funded Subgrant Agreement; Agreement Number: G0371 <br />It is respectfully requested that the information contained herein be given formal consideration by <br />the Board of County Commissioners at the next scheduled meeting. <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS: <br />The Indian River County Board of County Commissioners executed an agreement with the Florida <br />Division of Emergency Management on September 20, 2022 for the Emergency Management <br />Performance Grant (EMPG). The EMPG grant is used to enhance and improve emergency <br />management mitigation, planning, response and recovery directly affecting the lives and property <br />of Indian River County residents and visitors. The Florida Division of Emergency Management <br />submitted Modification #2 to Agreement Number G0371, to amend the terms of the agreement <br />period, to now end on April 30, 2024, which was approved by the Board on November 7, 2023. <br />However, prior to the State's execution of that modification, they re -issued the modification to <br />include an increase to the funding amount from $79,414.00 to $105,078.69, this increase was <br />provided for the State to reimburse the County for the last quarter of the previous grant cycle. All <br />provisions not in conflict with this modification remain in full force and effect and are to be <br />performed at the level specified in the agreement. <br />FUNDING: <br />An increase of funding, in the amount of $25,664.69, will be allocated to the General <br />Fund/Emergency Management/Other Operating Supplies/EMPG account, number 00120825- <br />035290-05050. <br />Account Description <br />I Account Number <br />I Amount <br />General Fund/Emergency Management/Other Operating Supplies/EMPG <br />00120825-035290-05050 <br />1 $25,664.69 <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends the approval of Modification #2 for the Federally -Funded Subgrant Agreement <br />(G0371) between Indian River County Emergency Management and the State of Florida, Division <br />of Emergency Management. <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />1.
