Matson, AICP <br />Community Development Director <br />FROM: Brian Freeman, AICP <br />MPO Staff Director <br />DATE: September 10, 2021 <br />SUBJECT: Appointment of Board of County Commissioners Representative and Alternate to <br />the MPO Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee <br />It is requested that the information herein presented be given formal consideration by the Board <br />of County Commissioners at its regular meeting of September 21, 2021. <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />This agenda item is to consider the appointment of an applicant to fill the position of Board of <br />County Commissioners representative on the MPO Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BAC). <br />The vacancy has been advertised on the County's website and on Channel 27 in excess of 30 days. <br />The following are the names of qualified applicants for this position, whose resumes are available <br />for review in the Commissioners' Front Office area: <br />• Angela Speck <br />• Solana Morris <br />Both applicants are active in the local bicycling community. Angela Speck submitted an <br />application to be the BCC representative to the Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BAC). <br />Solana Morris applied to be her alternate and would attend in her absence. The BAC typically <br />meets once each quarter. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that the Board review the resumes and applications of Angela Speck and <br />Solana Morris and appoint Angela Speck as the Board of County Commissioners representative <br />to the MPO Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee and Solana Morris as the alternate. <br />52 <br />
