STATE OF FLORIDA <br />000 RWER COUMY <br />IS�6.� ERTIFY THAT THIS IS A TRUE AND CORRECT <br />OFFICE OF THE COUNTYADMINISTRATOF,T}IEDR oN�INTHIISOFF". <br />INDIANRIVER COUNTY R^ <br />BY ICUD.C. <br />180127" Street, Vero Beach, FL 32960-338&TE <br />Phone: 772-226-1408 -Fax: 772-978-1822 <br />PROCLAMATION DECLARING AN END TO LOCAL STATE OF <br />EMERGENCY IN INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, IN <br />CONNECTION WITH WILDFIRES <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to section 101.10(1) of the Code of Indian River County and <br />Resolution 2024-016 of the Board of County Commissioners, the County Administrator is <br />authorized to declare a local state of emergency upon making a determination that a natural <br />disaster has occurred or is imminent, requiring immediate and expeditious action; and <br />WHEREAS, on May 7, 2024, a local state of emergency was declared due to the threat <br />of wildfires; and <br />WHEREAS, over the past several days, all areas of the County have received significant <br />amounts of rainfall and the threat posed to the health, safety and welfare by wildfires to citizens <br />and property of Indian River County is greatly reduced. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, in my capacity as County Administrator, I hereby determine that <br />the ongoing danger of wildfires has been alleviated so that the threat of a natural disaster is no <br />longer imminent, therefore the local state of emergency no longer exists in all of Indian River <br />County, Florida, effective this 14th day of June, 2024. <br />John A.
