Board of County Commissioners Meeting Minutes - Final April 23, 2024 <br />Attachments: Staff Report <br />Letter of Engagement <br />Approved staffs recommendation <br />8.G. 24-0334 Designation of Excess Equipment as Surplus and Authorization for Disposal <br />Recommended action: Staff recommends the Board declare the items on the Excess List for 042324 Agenda <br />as surplus and authorize their disposal. <br />Attachments: Staff Report <br />Excess List for 042324 <br />Approved staffs recommendation <br />8.H. 24-0348 Waiver of Bid Requirement for FDOT-Certified Traffic Equipment <br />Recommended action: Staff recommends the Board waive the requirement for bids for the FLIR cameras, as <br />well as any other products of the FDOT APL, and authorize the Purchasing Division <br />to issue purchase orders, as approved by Budget. <br />Attachments: Staff Report <br />Control Technologies Quote <br />Approved staffs recommendation <br />8.1. 24-0356 First Amendment to Urban Service Boundary Study Agreement (RFP 2024025) <br />Recommended Action: Staff recommends the Board approve the First Amendment documents and authorize <br />the Chairman to sign them after the County Attorney has approved them as to form <br />and legal sufficiency. <br />Attachments: Staff Report <br />First Amendment - Inspire <br />Chairman Adams sought to apprise residents that the County was conducting a study <br />of the Urban Service Boundary (USB) which marked where the County provided <br />services such as water, sewer, and support for development. Chris Balter, Chief of <br />Long Range Planning, noted this amendment to the study agreement was made to <br />include additional public engagement workshops regarding adjustment to the USB. <br />He noted it had been more than 30 years since it had been studied.
