RESOLUTION NO. 2024- 031 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF <br />APPLICATIONS FOR GRANT FUNDING ASSISTANCE FROM THE <br />FEDERAL TRANSIT ADMINISTRATION. <br />WHEREAS, the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) is authorized to award Section <br />5307 and Section 5339 grant funds for the implementation of a public transportation program of <br />projects; <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County and the Senior Resource Association utilize FTA <br />Section 5307 and Section 5339 funds to provide needed public transportation services within the <br />County; and <br />WHEREAS, in applying for FTA Section 5307 and Section 5339 funds, Indian River <br />County and the Senior Resource Association will comply with all applicable federal regulations <br />and requirements associated with the Section 5307 and Section 5339 programs. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY BOARD <br />OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS: <br />I . That the Planning and Development Services Director or his designee is authorized to file <br />applications on behalf of Indian River County with the Federal Transit Administration to <br />finance and implement the capital and operating program of projects specified in the <br />County's FY 2024 grant application under 49 USC Chapter 53, Section 5307 and 49 USC <br />Chapter 53, Section 5339. <br />2. That the Chairman of the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners, the <br />County Attorney, and/or Planning and Development Services Director are authorized to <br />execute, and the Planning and Development Services Director is authorized to file with <br />such application, an assurance or any other document required by the U.S. Department of <br />Transportation effectuating the purpose of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. <br />3. That the Planning and Development Services Director or his designee is authorized to <br />execute grant agreements with the U.S. Department of Transportation to finance and <br />implement the program of projects specified in the County's FY 2024 grant application <br />under 49 USC Chapter 53, Section 5307 and 49 USC Chapter 53, Section 5339. <br />4. That the County Administrator is authorized to set forth and execute necessary <br />Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) policies in connection with such application as <br />specified in the County's adopted DBE plan and in accordance with the federal <br />requirements of 49 CFR Part 26. <br />5.
