i <br />4D <br />1 <br />SECTION 01710 <br />CLEANING OF <br />PARTI-GENERAL <br />1.01 During its progress, the work and the adjacent areas affected thereby shall be kept cleaned <br />up and all rubbish, surplus materials and unneeded construction equipment shall be removed <br />and all damage repaired so that the public and property owners will be inconvenienced as <br />little as possible. <br />1.02 Where material or debris has washed or flowed into oe been placed in watercourses, ditches, <br />gutters, drains, catch basins, or elsewhere as a result of the Contractor's operations, such <br />material or debris shall be entirely removed and satisfactorily disposed of during progress <br />of the work, and ditches, channels, drains, etc., kept in a clean and neat condition. <br />1.03 On or before the completion of the work, the Contractor shall, unless otherwise especially <br />directed or pennitted in writing, tear down and remove all temporary works, tools, and <br />machinery or other construction equipment furnished by him; shall remove, acceptably <br />disinfect, and cover all organic matter and materials containing organic matter in, under and <br />around privies, and other buildings used by him, shall remove all rubbish from any grounds <br />which he has occupied; and shall leave the roads and all parts of the premises and adjacent <br />property affected by his operations, in a neat and satisfactory condition. <br />0 <br />1.04 The Contractor shall thoroughly clean all materials and equipment installed by him and his <br />subcontractors and on completion of the work shall deliver it undamaged and in fresh and <br />new -appearing condition. The Contractor shall remove or dispose of all rubbish and other <br />unsightly material caused by his operations and will ]cave the premises in good condition. <br />END OF SECTION <br />01710- 1 <br />
