In accepting Federal funds, <br />States and other granleos must comply with all applicable <br />Federal laws, regulations, and policies. This chapter Is not <br />all-inclusive. Exclusion of any specific requirement does not <br />relieve grantees of their responsibility for compliance. <br />Gopios of reference materials can be obtained from the <br />Regional Offices. Requirements. <br />(1) Grantees may nol, on the basis of race, color, or <br />national origin, sefecl, locate, or opora!e project facilities <br />which will serve to exclude or limit opportunity for use or <br />benefits. <br />(2) Grantees shall me'r.e reasonable efforts to inform the <br />public or opportunities provided by Federal Aid projects and <br />shall inform Ihu public that the projects are subject to Title VI <br />compliance. <br />(3) Though employment practices are not in themselves <br />subject to Title VI, Title Vt does apply to employment which <br />may allect the delivery of services to beneficiaries of a <br />federally assisted program.
