l <br />(UGC01060.FMT) :aa <br />SECTION 01060 <br />REGULl\TORY REQUIREMENTS AND NOTIFICJ\TION <br />PART 1 -GENERAL <br />1.01 PERMITS REQUIRED <br />A. Florida Department of Environmental Protection: <br />The general permit from the Florida Department of <br />Environmental Protection (FDEP) for the project is <br />being obtained. <br />B. INDIAN RIVER COUNTY: The Contractor' along with <br />the Utilities Department, must obtain right-of-way <br />permit (s) from Indian River County prior to <br />initiating construction . It typically requires <br />one week processing time to receive a right-of-way <br />permit. There is no processing fee for the permit . <br />one set of construction plans must be submitted <br />along with a permit application to the Indian <br />River Coun ty Engineering Department. Some of the <br />conditions of the County right-of-way permits are <br />as follows: <br />1. Applicant shall not begin construction of any <br />kind in the County right-of-way prior to <br />application and issuance of a valid permit by <br />Indian River County. <br />2. Any area disturbed in the County right-of-way <br />must be restored by applicant to a condition <br />equal to or better than existing just prior <br />to construction, including but not limited to <br />compaction, grading, paving, seeding and <br />mulching, sodding, etc., as the case may be. <br />The quality of construction, materials, and <br />workmanship shall be in accordance with <br />County standards. All disturbed areas shall <br />be restored within 48 hours after excavation. <br />3. Applicant s hall notify the County Engineering <br />Division at least 48 hours prior to the <br />placement of concrete , paving of asphalt, <br />installation of culve.:-t.s, or backfilling of <br />trenches, so that the County may inspect <br />installations as necessary. Applicant shall <br />further notiCy the County in writing of iLs <br />request. (or final inspect ion and approval at <br />the comple>Lion o( Lhe pc•rmitLcd activity. <br />0l0G0 I
