0 <br />FINAL REPORT <br />EXECUTIVE SUMMARY <br />SHELTER EVALUATIONS for THE STATE OF FLORIDA <br />ED No.: 214 <br />Survey Date: December, 9 1998 <br />Facility Name: Sebastian River High School (Buildings B and C) <br />Address: 900190th Street, Sebastian, Florida, 32958 <br />Coordinates: <br />Latitude: N2745'30" <br />Discussion: <br />Longitude: W 80°24'/6" <br />Sebastian River High School is located on 90th Street approximately 2 miles east of 1-95 and 1/2 south <br />of C.R. 512. Under the direction of Indian River Department of Emergency Management, buildings A, <br />B, C and J were evaluated as a possible hurricane evacuation shelters. <br />Flood and Hazmat Considerations: <br />A finished floor elevation of +23.0 feet was called out on the structural plans. The campus is located in <br />a Zone'X' area according to Flood Insurance Rate Map, panel 90 of 169, Map No.12061C0090 E, with an <br />effective date of May 4, 1989. Evidence of flooding or ponding was not apparent. <br />The HES buildings are within the Vulnerability Zone of two Section 302 facilities that have a low release <br />potential in a hurricane event. <br />The campus is not located within a ten mile Emergency Planning Zone of a nuclear facility. <br />
