40 <br />L -1 <br />FINAL REPORT <br />15a L <br />SHELTER EVALUATIONS for THE STATE OF FLORIDA <br />ID No.: 201 <br />Survey Date: December 3, 1999 <br />Facility Name: Fellsmere Elementary (Building 700) <br />Address: 50 North Cypress Street, Fellsmere, Florida 32948 <br />Coordinates: <br />Latitude: N27046'11" <br />Discussion: <br />Longitude: W80°36'11" <br />q-310, <br />Fellsmere Elementary School is located on 50 North Cypress Street approximately 3.0 miles west of <br />Interstate 95 in Fellsmere Florida Under the direction of Indian River Department of Emergency <br />Management, (lie main building was evaluated as a possible hurricane evacuation shelter. <br />Flood and Ilazmat Considerations: <br />A site plan showing existing elevations was available and established the site to be approximately 24 Feet <br />above MSI, and the first floor elevation to be 27 feet above MSL. The campus is located in a Zone "'X° <br />area according to Flood Insurance bate Map, panel 60 of 169, Map No.12061CO060 E, with an effective <br />date of May 4, 1989. Evidence of flooding or ponding was not apparent. The building and access road are <br />well outside of the Category 5 stoma surge innundation lone as determined by the latest edition on <br />SLOSl3. <br />The HES building is not within (lie Vulnerability Zone of Section 302 facilities. <br />The campus is not located within a ten mile Emergency Planning "Lone of a nuclear facility. <br />
