The LMS was formally adopted by Resolution of the Board of County
Commissioners on November 16, 1999. One of the approved projects was to seek funding for
retrofits to the county's public schools, which serve as public shelters, to reduce vulnerability to
winds and flood damage, thereby reducing the county's safe shelter deficit.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call me
Sincerely,
I
Douglas igitt, Director
Chairman, LMS Working Group
cc: Nathan McCollum, Emergency Management Coordinator
Division of Division of Division of Division orf
Emo`tigency Medical Animal Control circ Saery M emergency Man3gWT01
sere cc% 567.8000 562-2026 567.6000
567-6004 1.1.446 E%1.444
Ext. 217
StJNCOM 124-1444 FAX (S61) 567.4313
