Ell <br />40 <br />i <br />ARTICLE 24 <br />BEREAVEMENT LEAVE <br />24.01 Regular full time bargaining unit employees covered by this agreement <br />shall be granted up to one and one-half shifts of leave with pay, upon <br />verbal request to the EMS Chief or his designee prior to the beginning of <br />the leave, for death in their immediate family without charge to medical <br />leave, annual leave, holiday time, or other accumulated time. <br />24.02 For the purpose of this article, the immediate family shall consist of <br />Spouse, Children and Step -Children, Parents and Step -Parents, <br />Grandmother, Grandfather, Brother, Sister, Mather -in -Law, Father -in -Law, <br />Son -in -Law, Daughter -in -Law, Sister -in -Law, Brother -in -Law, Step- <br />brother, Step -sister, or Legal Guardian of the bargaining unit employee, <br />and any other individual so designated by the County for all other <br />employees. <br />'4.03 Employees may be required to provide documentation supporting their <br />request for bereavement leave. <br />
