40 <br />C1 <br />i <br />M <br />25.03 Any employee who acquired holiday pay has the option to use the extra <br />pay thus earned in the farm of time off instead of a cash payment if the <br />following conditions are observed. <br />A. Time off shall only be with the approval of the EMS Chief. <br />B. All such time must be earned before it is used. <br />C, Time off must be taken within the confines of each pay period. <br />D. This may occur for a maximum of five holidays in one fiscal year. <br />E. Notification of this request must be made in writing at least <br />seventy-two hours prior to the end of the applicable pay period. <br />Lack of such written notice means the employee will be paid in <br />cash and the right to use this as vacation annual leave will be <br />forfeited. <br />F. The official roster of applicable holiday pay time will be maintained <br />in the EMS Division. <br />25.04 Shift employees who are not required to work on a holiday will receive <br />twelve hours of holiday pay at their regular hourly rate for the pay period <br />within which each holiday falls. Shift employees who are required to <br />work on a holiday shall receive eighteen hours of holiday pay at their <br />regular hourly rate, in addition to their twenty-four hours of straight time <br />pay for the time worked, for the pay period within which each holiday <br />falls. <br />
