How do the programs complement <br />rnose orrerea Dy orner agencies. <br />This program focuses on providing accessible psychiatric medical services and crisis intervention specifically for the <br />uninsured and indigent population of Indian River County. Our unique service is the Mobile Crisis Response Team <br />(MCRT), offering 24/7 intervention for individuals experiencing a personal crisis or supporting a loved one in crisis. This <br />immediate intervention can prevent escalation and ensure individuals receive the help they need when they need it <br />most. Additionally, unlike traditional hotlines, the MCRT provides on-site support and assessment. <br />How We Complement Other Agencies: <br />While other agencies might offer therapy services, our program fills the gap by providing immediate crisis response and <br />stabilization. Through networking and referrals, we connect clients with long-term support services offered by other <br />agencies in the community, ensuring all their needs are met. This collaboration fosters a comprehensive and <br />coordinated approach to mental health care within Indian River County. <br />5. Please describe the staffing requirements of these programs. Be specific in indicating the number of paid <br />roressionai positions ana para support stair posirions. <br />Overall New Horizons employees approximately 400 personnel across the four counties that we serve. <br />New Horizons is committed to serving the Indian River County community. We employ a team of 288 highly qualified <br />professionals and 164 support staff across all our programs. Notably, 35 staff members working in various capacities <br />live and work in Indian River County. <br />The MRT program operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to ensure uninterrupted access to critical services for our <br />clients. Our current staffing structure allows for this continuous service delivery by having a dedicated team of qualified <br />professionals and support staff available around the clock. Additionally, we can adjust staffing levels within the program <br />based on real-time client needs. <br />S. Do these programs utilize volunteers? If yes, please briefly describe. <br />New Horizons utilizes approximately 50 volunteers and interns. Due to the nature of our services we are limited in <br />utilizing volunteers. <br />/. veSCn tion or the countywice purpose the tunas will De uses ror. <br />The requested funds will directly support the recovery and well-being of adults with mental illnesses residing in Indian <br />River County. We will achieve this by providing a comprehensive range of services: <br />Psychiatric Medical Services (Evaluations & Medication Management): This ensures accurate diagnoses and proper <br />medication management, crucial for stabilization. <br />Outpatient Therapy (Individual & Group Sessions): This empowers clients to develop coping skills, improve <br />understanding of their condition, and manage their mental health effectively. <br />Case Management: This service connects clients with essential resources, coordinates their care plan, and ensures <br />they receive the appropriate support services. <br />Psychosocial Rehabilitative Services: These services help individuals regain independence, develop life skills, and <br />return to a productive life. <br />Crisis Support Bed Days: This offers safe haven and immediate intervention for individuals experiencing a mental <br />health crisis. <br />Injection Clinic Services: This provides a long-acting medication option, improving medication adherence and treatment <br />outcomes. <br />By offering these evidence -based services, we address the prioritized need for mental healthcare within the adult <br />indigent population of Indian River County. This comprehensive approach fosters improved attendance, medication <br />compliance, and overall well-being for our clients. <br />110 <br />
