B. Organizational Capability (Continued) <br />L. Listing or speciric programs your agency orrers to our community. <br />Specific areas where the funds will be utilized are in keeping with the goals and strategies as outlined and agreed upon <br />by the County in the Economic Development Element, and by the Economic Development Council, the IRC Department <br />of Planning & Development Services and the Chamber; they include but are not limited to: <br />• Direct marketing to site location consultants and targeted industries with continued follow-up and communication <br />• Maintaining and hosting the economic development website <br />• Providing research for local and prospective new businesses, and government entities, along with the production of <br />studies and reports <br />• Conduct cost -of -living surveys, providing data and hosting cost -of -living calculator on the economic development <br />website <br />• Host GIS -based website, , the commercial/industrial real estate data base, gather detailed <br />business intelligence for local and prospective new businesses; provide a platform for local commercial realtors to <br />promote non-residential properties in Indian River County <br />• Facilitate networking opportunities for existing and new business clients and prospects <br />• Maintain/strengthen relationships with state legislators, regional airports, Florida Department of Commerce, site <br />selectors, and similar local and regional economic development agencies, plus other key resources who can assist in <br />the success of our mission <br />• Industry Appreciation Awards program, which recognizes existing/new industries and new/enhanced developments in <br />the county <br />• Provide informational presentations to civic and professional groups, and others throughout the county, highlighting <br />the benefits of industry, better paying jobs and a diverse, increased tax base <br />• Workforce preparedness for existing and future workforce, through collaborative planning, innovative programs such <br />as the Manufacturing Bootcamp program, and information sharing with our region's schools, colleges and training <br />centers <br />• Promote the Foreign Trade Zone and its benefits to existing businesses and as a recruitment tool; assist local <br />employers with documentation as needed <br />178 <br />
