Tuesday, October 1, 1996 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, <br />met in Regular Session at the County Commission Chambers, 1840 25th <br />Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, October 1, 1996 at 9:00 a.m. <br />Present were Fran B. Adams, Chairman; Carolyn K. Eggert, -Vice Chairman; <br />Kenneth R. Macht; and John W. Tippin. Commissioner Richard N. Bird was <br />away on personal business. Also present were James E. Chandler, County <br />Administrator; Charles P. Vitunac, County Attorney; and Barbara Bonnah, <br />Deputy Clerk. <br />Chairman Adams called the meeting to order and Commissioner Eggert <br />led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Chairman Adams requested the following additions/changes: <br />5-C Proclamation - Italian Heritage & Culture Month <br />6-C Correction to Minutes of 8/13/96 BCC Meeting <br />7-R Proclamation - National Wildlife Refuge Week <br />11-F-2 Commissioner Richard N. Bird's Retirement Pension <br />13-B Comment on LAAC <br />Chairman Adams also requested the deletion of 7-J, Request for <br />Final Plat Approval - Indian River Club Plat #3 (Phases 4 A&B). <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Tippin, the Board unanimously (4-0 <br />Commissioner Bird absent) approved the above <br />additions and deletion to today's Agenda. <br />PROCLAMATION - ARTS AND HLWANMES MONTH <br />Chairman Adams read the following proclamation aloud and <br />presented it to Betty Reed of the Cultural Council of Indian River <br />County: <br />1 <br />OCTOBER 1, 1996 �09� �� F� 24 4 <br />
