can proceed. The DOT will engineer, construct, and inspect the repairs. The <br />County is responsible for funding not -to -exceed $150,000. After the repairs are <br />complete, the attached agreement provides for the roadway reverting back to the <br />County. County staff prefers the bridge and roadway remain under DOT <br />ownership, and the DOT District Four Planning Office has stated that <br />communications shall continue to pursue that preference. Instead of delaying the <br />repair until that issue is resolved, the Public Works and DOT staffs are agreeable <br />to execution of the attached agreement. <br />Also in the agreement is the transfer of SR607 (Emerson Avenue or 27th Avenue) <br />between St. Lucie County and SR60 to the County after the DOT resurfacing is <br />complete. This transfer has been previously agreed upon in the early 1980's. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />The alternatives presented are as follows: <br />_ Alternative No. 1 <br />Approve the agreement and authorize the Chairman's signature. <br />Instruct the staff to negotiate with DOT for permanent transfer of the <br />CR510 link to the DOT. Funding to be from Fund 109 - Secondary <br />Road.
