ARTICLE 18 <br /> ON-CALL/STANDBY <br /> 18.1 On-call duty assignments must be authorized by the department or division head. <br /> This assignment is made when it is necessary that an employee be available for <br /> work due to an urgent situation during off-duty time. Such assignment will be <br /> given to the employees who normally perform the work during normal hours of <br /> work. For employees on a standby status one hour of pay at time and one-half <br /> will be paid for each regular work day and two and one-half hours of pay at time <br /> and one-half on each non-work day and holidays.
