Miscellaneous Budget Amendment 001 <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of October 2, 1996: <br />TO: Members of the Board <br />of County Commissioners <br />DATE: October 2, 1996 <br />SUBJECT: MISCELLANEOUS BUDGET AMENDMENT 001 -CONSENT AGENDA " <br />FROM: Joseph A. Baird <br />OMB Director <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDPTIONS <br />The attached budget amendment is to appropriate funding for the following: <br />1. The attached budget amendment appropriates funding for 1996/97 salary raises as <br />approved by the Board of County Commissioners. <br />2. The final budget figures received from the Sheriffs office resulted in a reduction in <br />transfers out from the MSTU. The attached entry reflects that change and adjusts the <br />Sheriffs budget to agree with that office's figures by division. <br />3. The fiscal year 1996/97 State appropriation for the SHIP program is higher than <br />anticipated. The attached entry appropriates the additional revenue. <br />4. On September 3, 1996 the Board of County Commissioners approved amendment # 2 <br />to the agreement with SJRWMD for the Florida Yards and Neighborhoods program. <br />The attached entry appropriates the additional grant monies for the approved part-time <br />program assistant position. <br />5. During the 1994/95 fiscal year the Board of County Commissioners approved a <br />Waterways Assistance Grant Project Agreement with the Florida Inland Navigation <br />District (FIND). The grant expiration date has been extended to September, 1997. The <br />attached entry appropriates the grant monies for information sign construction for the <br />Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners approve the attached budget amendment <br />001. <br />OCTOBER 8, 1996 34 <br />
