The county will continue to coordinate with the SJRWMD on the SWIM plan by: <br />• Applying for SWIM funds for implementation of programs designed to improve surface water quality; <br />• Submitting regular reports to the SJRWMD on progress of the programs. <br />The county will continue to coordinate drainage related issues with the municipalities in the county and the 298 drainage <br />districts by implementing policies of the drainage sub-element. [Moved to Coastal Management Element] <br />Policy 1.9: By 2011, the cCounty shall continue to coordinate with enter into an agreement with the Fellsmere Farms <br />Water Control District to ensure access to and use of the water control district’s canal/road rights-of-ways by adjacent <br />property owners and to establish maintenance responsibilities for the access roads. <br />Policy 1.11: By 2015, The cCounty staff shall continue to coordinate with the staffs of local municipalities and adjacent <br />counties and to prepare a report identifying inconsistencies and conflicts between the cCounty plan and each local plan <br />and identify ways to resolve inconsistencies and conflicts. <br />Policy 1.12: The cCounty shall request that the legislature prohibit the sale of conservation land by water management <br />districts unless the land sale is approved by the local government in whose jurisdiction the land is located. <br />Objective 2: By 2015 tThe cCounty will continue to maintain have an adopted formal mechanism for coordination of <br />adopted comprehensive plan level-of-service standards with municipalities, adjacent counties, the region, and the state. <br />Policy 2.2: By 2011, tThe cCounty shall compare its comprehensive plan level-of-service standards with the level of <br />service standards adopted by the municipalities within the county and meet with municipal staff to discuss the possibility of <br />developing countywide level-of-service standards. <br />Policy 2.4: The county utilities department shall approve potable water concurrency for new projects only when <br />adequate water supplies and potable water facility capacity are available to accommodate new development project <br />PAGE 138
