<br /> <br /> <br />PAGE 47 <br /> <br />GOP Number GOP Language Recommended Action Comments/Rationale <br />NEW <br />Objective 10: Water Supply Planning <br />The County shall plan for its water needs and maintain a Water Supply Facilities Work Plan, as required by Florida <br />Statutes. <br />Policy 10.1: The County shall maintain a Water Supply Facilities Work Plan (Work Plan) that is coordinated with <br />SJRWMD’s Central Springs / East Coast Regional Water Supply Plan (CSEC RWSP). The Work Plan and related <br />comprehensive plan policies shall be updated, as necessary, within 18 months of an update of the CSEC RWSP that <br />affects the County. <br />Policy 10.2: The County’s Water Supply Facilities Work Plan (2024-2033) is incorporated into the comprehensive plan <br />as Appendix A of the Potable Water Sub-Element. <br />Policy 10.3: The Water Supply Facilities Work Plan shall identify the traditional and alternative water supply projects, <br />along with the water conservation and reuse practices, necessary to meet the County’s existing and future water <br />demands. <br />Policy 10.4: The Water Supply Facilities Work Plan shall address those projects identified in the SJRWMD CSEC RWSP <br />for Indian River County, and selected by the county for implementation, and any associated implementation schedule. <br />Policy 10.5: The County will monitor and participate, as necessary, in the City of Vero Beach’s water supply planning <br />process to ensure that the City’s utility accounts for and meets the current and future water needs for the respective <br />unincorporated area within the City’s service area. <br /> Recommended by SJRWMD <br /> <br />
