No Change <br />Policy 5.3: <br />The county shall evaluate and rank proposed capital improvement projects for the acquisition and preservation of the <br />natural groundwater aquifer recharge areas according to the following guidelines: <br /> ~ Level One - Whether the acquisition is needed to protect public health, to protect the function of aquifer <br />recharge, and to fulfill the county's legal commitment to provide water services. <br /> ~ Level Two - Whether the acquisition will improve the existing condition and prevent or reduce future c apital <br />costs. <br />No Change <br />Policy 5.4: The county shall continue to monitor water quality at county water treatment and wastewater treatment plants. No Change <br />If desired; The County will continue to provide high quality drinking <br />water and effective wastewater treatment by ensuring compliance with <br />all regulatory requirements and taking all feasible measures to optimize <br />the treatment at each of the plants. <br /> <br />
