(FTL) provides disadvantaged children 6-14 years old with <br />free services through Summer Camp and After School Tutoring. A basic tenet is "Children don't care <br />what you know, until they know that you care." The staff and volunteers are empathetic, loving, <br />nonjudgmental, and firm yet fair. Tutoring is geared to each child's specific needs and most participants <br />improve grades. Summer Camp includes tutoring along with 2 meals, exercise, crafts, <br />recreation, speakers and life skills workshops. FTL feeds children nutritionally, educationally <br />and emotionally. <br />
