Pelican lslandAudubon.org <br />Brief description of your organization (100 word limit) <br />PIAS Mission: Preserve and protect the animals, plants and natural communities, and the land and water <br />on which they depend in Indian River County through advocacy, education and public awareness. <br />PIAS continues our 60 -year record of educating people about conservation through <br />adult lectures and bird watching programs. Now, through our after-school 'Audubon Advocates' <br />program and our summer, weekend and holiday Adventure Camps, and also with our partnership with <br />Pelican Island Elementary School (PIES) we are teaching a new generation of residents about the need <br />to protect their surroundings. Our vision is a sustainable ecosystem that protects precious land, water, <br />and natural resources. <br />
