Board of County Commissioners Meeting Minutes - Final <br />8.X. 24-0707 <br />speak. <br />September 10, 2024 <br />Mr. Lefebure was joined by Debbie Avery, Executive Secretary. He thanked the <br />Board for approving this item and stated that the Club would be able to help save the <br />lives of Indian River County citizens and visitors. He spoke of recent incidents and the <br />goal to reduce the number of drownings in Indian River County to zero. He again <br />thanked the Board for the opportunity to serve the community. <br />Beth Powell, Director of Parks, Recreation & Conservation, thanked the Club for <br />their patience and expressed excitement about the agreement. She looked forward to <br />expanding their relationship with other municipalities, and working with the Club. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Earman, seconded by Chairman Adams, to <br />approve staff's recommendation.
