Board of County Commissioners Meeting Minutes - Final <br />8.X. 24-0707 <br />speak. <br />September 10, 2024 <br />Mr. Lefebure was joined by Debbie Avery, Executive Secretary. He thanked the <br />Board for approving this item and stated that the Club would be able to help save the <br />lives of Indian River County citizens and visitors. He spoke of recent incidents and the <br />goal to reduce the number of drownings in Indian River County to zero. He again <br />thanked the Board for the opportunity to serve the community. <br />Beth Powell, Director of Parks, Recreation & Conservation, thanked the Club for <br />their patience and expressed excitement about the agreement. She looked forward to <br />expanding their relationship with other municipalities, and working with the Club. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Earman, seconded by Chairman Adams, to <br />approve staff's recommendation. The motion carried by the following vote: <br />Ayer 5 - Chairman Adams, Vice Chairman Flescher, Commissioner Earman, Commissioner <br />Moss, and Commissioner Lear <br />Scope of Services for a Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Action Plan <br />Recommended action: Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners approve the Scope of <br />Services and authorize staff to issue a Work Order. <br />Attachments: Staff Report <br />Scope of Services <br />Approved staffs recommendation <br />8.Y. 24-0714 Request for Partial Release of an Easement at 11225 US Highway 1 <br />Recommended Action: Staff recommends that the Board, through adoption of the proposed resolution, <br />approve the partial release of the County utility easement at 11225 US Highway 1. <br />Attachments: Staff Report <br />Location Map <br />Draft Resolution <br />Approved staffs recommendation and Resolution 2024-045, releasing an <br />easement (or portion thereof) on Lot 00005.0, Block 0020. <br />82. 24-0715 Approval of Work Order No. 1 to Arcadis U.S., Inc. for America's Water <br />Infrastructure Act Risk and Resilience Assessment and Emergency Response Plan <br />Updates, IRCDUS Project ID 00.24.518 <br />Recommended Action: Staff recommends that the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners <br />approve Work Order No. 1 to Arcadis U.S., Inc. in the amount of $456,330.10 to <br />provide professional engineering and technical services related to America's Water <br />Infrastructure Act Risk and Resilience Assessment and Emergency Response Plan <br />Indian River County Florida Page 13 <br />
