COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR MATTERS <br />11.A. 24-0713 Second Amendment to the Collective Bargaining Agreement Between the <br />International Association of Firefighter's Local 2201 (IAFF) and the Indian River <br />County Emergency Services District Providing for General Wage Increase <br />Recommended action: Staff respectfully recommends approval of a 10% general wage increase for <br />employees represented by the International Association of Firefighter's, Local 2201 <br />effective the fust full pay period in October 2024 and requests the Board authorize its <br />Chair to sign the Second Amendment to the October 1, 2022 Collective Bargaining <br />Agreement, Article 34 - Salaries providing for the general wage increase. <br />Attachments: Staff Report <br />Second Amendment to IAFF Agreement <br />Exhibit A - Article 34 Wages <br />County Administrator John Titkanich announced that a tentative agreement was <br />reached to provide a 10% general wage increase for the third year of the current <br />collective bargaining agreement between Indian River County and the International <br />Association of Firefighters (IAFF) Local 2201. The IAFF membership approved the <br />agreement and was awaiting approval from the Board. The total cost of the wage <br />increase, including benefits, was $3,347,011. <br />Indian River County Fire Chief David Johnson thanked the Board for approving this <br />agreement. And stated it would help immensely with retention and attracting other <br />Indian River County Florida Page 17 <br />
