Board of County Commissioners Meeting Minutes - Final September 10, 2024 electric power cable, thereby optimizing construction costs. After analyzing quotes for constructing an electric cable using open trench installation, IRCDUS decided to switch to a directional drilling method due to cost savings and fewer environmental impacts. Masteller & Moler (M&M) prepared Amendment No. 2 to Work Order No. 5 for the re -design, which cost $10,400. IRCDUS requested a finn quote from Paragon for the directional drilling method, which came to $425,378.38. With a 20% contingency reserve to cover unforeseen construction costs, the total proposed budget came to $520,854.38. No further discussion was had. A motion was made by Commissioner Earman, seconded by Commissioner Loar, to approve staffs recommendation. Every member progresses from second Vice President to first Vice President, then to President. The newly elected second Vice President did not get reelected, leaving an open spot. Chairman Adams expressed interest in running for this position, but noted that it would require the support of the Board.
