Board of County Commissioners Meeting Minutes - Final September 24, 2024 <br />native plants along a 3 -mile stretch. Mr. Bergman added that beach <br />restoration was partially funded by a portion of the local option tourist tax. <br />Commissioner Earman noted the uniqueness of this stretch of beach and <br />expressed appreciation for the community's support which helped staff bring this <br />project together. Chairman Adams expressed appreciation for the State Senators <br />who helped garner grants. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Earman, seconded by Commissioner <br />Moss, to approve staffs recommendation. Quintin Bergman, Coastal <br />Resources Manager, reviewed the support services received from Coastal <br />Technology Corporation (Coastal) during the early phases of this project, and <br />recommended Coastal for this bid award. <br />A motion was made by Vice Chairman Flescher, seconded by Commissioner <br />Moss, to approve staffs recommendation.
