BUTLER, CLERK OF COURT <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY FL <br />BK. 3743 PG 1804 Page 1 of 1 12!17/2024 2 42 PM <br />PROCLAMATION DECLARING A LOCAL STATE OF EMERGENCY IN <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, IN CONNECTION WITH <br />HURRICANE MILTON <br />WHEREAS, on October 5, 2024, Governor Ron DeSantis, in his capacity as Governor of <br />the State of Florida, issued Executive Order Number 24-214, declaring that a state of emergency <br />exists in all or portions of the State of Florida by reason of Hurricane Milton; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to section 101.10(1) of the Code of Indian River County, and <br />Resolution 2024-016 of the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners, the County <br />Administrator is authorized to declare a local state of emergency upon making a determination that <br />a natural disaster has occurred or is imminent, requiring immediate and expeditious action, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, in my capacity as County Administrator, I hereby (1) determine <br />that, by reason of Hurricane Milton, the threat of a natural disaster has occurred or is imminent, <br />requiring immediate and expeditious action, and (2) declare that a local state of emergency exists <br />in all of Indian River County, Florida, effective as of 7:00 a.m. on this 10th day of December, 2024. <br />The initial declaration was signed by me as County Administrator on October 7, 2024, and a state <br />of emergency still exists due to the aftermath of Hurricane Milton. <br />G4 <br />-.4 / - - John A.
