40 <br />• <br />f; <br />® LABORATORY ANALYSIS OF FILL FROM ALL PITS TO BE USED <br />(TO BE ATTACHED TO BID PROPOSAL) <br />! The Contractor shall submit evidence satisfactory to the County that the borrow site to be <br />used for the project is permitted by Local, State and Federal authorities, as applicable. The <br />Contractor is likewise responsible for obtaining all applicable permits and licenses for the transport <br />of equipment, materials and operations undertaken as part of the work. <br />Contractor shall have an independent laboratory analyze fill samples from all pits to be used <br />in providing fill for this project. The independent laboratory must have its technical qualifications <br />and experiments approved by the Engineer. The Contractor shall have the independent laboratory <br />submit a Crain Size Distribution graph, moisture content analysis and modified proctor tests results <br />for each sample from each fill source location that will be used to provide the required volume of <br />fill material. The samples be approximately <br />2 lbs. in weight. The sample shall be clearly labeled with the name of the Contractor and any other <br />identifying information as to the pit location and characteristics of the sample. The samples shall <br />be representative of the fill that is being offered for the Emergency Dune Restoration Project, if <br />applicable. <br />All pit locations shall be made available to the County Coastal Engineer for inspection of <br />material prior to and during the project. <br />LABORATORY ANALYSIS <br />LA 1 <br />W <br />
