PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Commissioner Deryl Loar <br />3.A. OATH OF OFFICE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />The Honorable Nicole Menz, County Judge, Nineteenth Judicial Circuit Court of <br />Florida, swore in each of the re-elected County Commissioners: Susan Adams, <br />Joseph H. Earman, and Laura Moss. <br />3.B. ELECTION OF BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSION CHAIRMAN <br />County Attorney Jennifer Shuler opened the floor for nominations for Chairman. <br />Commissioner Moss nominated Commissioner Adams in the interest of continuity as <br />the County planned its Centennial celebration. <br />Motion failed for lack of a second. <br />Commissioner Earman nominated Commissioner Flescher, and was seconded by <br />Commissioner Loar. <br />The County Attorney called the vote to close the floor for further nominations. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Earman, seconded by Commissioner Loar, <br />to close the floor for further nominations. The motion carried by the following <br />vote: <br />Aye: 4 - Chairman Flescher, Vice Chairman Loar, Commissioner Adams, and Commissioner <br />Earman <br />Nay: 1 - Commissioner Moss <br />Indian River County, Florida Page 1 <br />
