RESOLUTION 2025- 001 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY ADOPTING THE GUIDEBOOK FOR THE CHILDREN'S SERVICES ADVISORY COMMITTEE WHEREAS, the Children's Services Advisory Committee Guidebook, last updated in 1997, serves as a crucial document outlining the operating procedures of the Children's Services Advisory Committee; and WHEREAS, it is imperative to ensure that the procedures and guidelines governing the Children's Services Advisory Committee are reflective of current best practices. and ordinance requirements: and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners acknowledges the importance of maintaining an up-to-date handbook to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and relevance of the Children's Services Advisory Committee in fulfilling its mission; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA THAT: 1. The Indian River County Board of County Commissioners hereby resolves to adopt the revised Children's Services Advisory Committee Guidebook, dated December 10. 2024, which shall supersede the previous version dated December 5.2023. The updated handbook is reflective of contemporary best practices. and ordinance requirements. 2. The Indian River County Board of County Commissioners adopts this resolution pursuant to the authority vested in the Board of County Commissioners by Ordinance 2022-007, which mandates the adoption of the Children's Services Procedures Handbook by resolution. The purpose of this resolution is to ensure that the Children's Services Advisory Committee operates in accordance with current standards and practices. 3. The Indian River County Board of County Commissioners hereby adopts the updated Children's Services Guidebook, effective immediately. All relevant parties shall be notified of the changes, and the revised handbook shall be implemented promptly. 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption by the Board of County Commissioners.
