CSAC Civility Policy <br />The Children's Services Advisory Committee CSAG) is t mmitted to fostering an environment of <br />respect; inclusivity, and professionalism in all interactions. As representatives of ourfommunity, we <br />recognize that civil and constructive discourse is fundamental tooiurmssion. Therefore, all members <br />=of the CSAC are expected abide by the following principles of clylllityr <br />1 "*.Respectful Communication!! <br />p►krn4hbers are ex' pe ed to i�It4runi 'x' fi .. ' idi elr s and respect, regardless of <br />differing opinions. Disparaging remarks, personal attacks, profanity, or any form of <br />disrespectful language will not be tolerated. Members will not speak over each other and: <br />allow other members to finish their thoughts before responding. <br />2. "Active Listening and Open-Mindedness** <br />CSAC values diverse perspectives. Members should actively listen to others, engage <br />thoughtfully, and remain open to differing views, fostering an environmenttvhere all voices <br />can be heard. <br />3. **Constructive Feedback** <br />Feedback, whether given verbally or in driving, should be constructive and aimed at <br />helping the committee achieve its goalt O ftm should focus on issues, not individuals, <br />; . and should be delivered in a mann .-that prtns positive outcomes. <br />4. Members are expected to attend all scheduled meetings. <br />All members are expected to attend all meetings. If a member's annual attendance drops <br />below the seventy-five (75) percent mark, the executive office directb(thall submit a report <br />to the Board of County Commissioners for their consideration of possible removal from the <br />Children's Services Advisory Committee. <br />Active engagement during meetings is essential for ensuring informed decision-making and <br />collaboration. Members are expected to reviewall materials provided prior to meetings to <br />ensure they are prepared to contribute effectively to discussions and decisions. <br />By committing to regular attendance and meaningful preparation, members help uphold <br />the integrity and effectiveness of the committee's efforts. 106 <br />
