Zito, Deputy County Administrator <br />Cindy Emerson, Community Services Director <br />From: Megan Kendrick, Human Services Manager <br />Subject: Children Services Advisory Committee - Annual Report, FY 2023-2024 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Children's Services Advisory Committee (CSAC) met on December 10, 2024, and approved <br />the Annual Report for FY 2023-2024. The report provides an overview of the committee's work <br />and the impact of CSAC-funded programs during the fiscal year. It includes the following: <br />• Names of CSAC members, including those serving on the Grant Review and Needs <br />Assessment Subcommittees. <br />• A summary of CSAC's history, mission, and goals. <br />• Highlights of the funds awarded and expended for children's services in Indian River <br />County. <br />• Detailed agency year-end reports that include: <br />o Grant funds awarded and utilized. <br />o The number of children and families served. <br />o Program outcomes aligned with the goals outlined in grant applications. <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS: <br />The FY 2023-2024 Annual Report underscores the critical role of CSAC in identifying and <br />addressing the needs of children and families in Indian River County. This year, CSAC-funded <br />programs achieved notable outcomes: <br />98.3% Utilization of Allocated Funds: Agencies demonstrated fiscal accountability, <br />ensuring efficient use of the $2.5 million allocated. <br />Over 20,000 Touchpoints: Programs provided vital services to children and families, <br />including health, education, and behavioral support. <br />Significant Program Impact: <br />0 88% of programs met or exceeded their performance outcomes. <br />o Highlights include improved kindergarten readiness, enhanced parenting skills, and <br />reduced risky behaviors among youth. <br />138 <br />
