Bunt, Assistant County Administrator <br />Addie Javed, Public Works Director <br />FROM: David Schryver, PSM, County Surveyor <br />SUBJECT: Designation of Excess Survey Equipment as Surplus and Authorization <br />to Complete Trade -In of Existing Equipment <br />DATE: January 28, 2025 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />?N <br />The approved 2024/2025 Public Works Department Budget included funding for new equipment and <br />training for the Survey Section staff. The new equipment has been delivered, and the training has been <br />completed. The Survey Section retained the existing equipment for a period to allow staff to become <br />proficient with the new equipment. At this time, the Survey Section is ready to trade-in the <br />equipment as agreed to in the contract for the purchase of the new equipment with Duncan Parnell <br />and for the old equipment to be disposed of in accordance with Florida Statues and Finance Policies. <br />FUNDING: <br />The following trade-in values were applied to the existing equipment: <br />1) Duncan Parnell Quote No. Q-31252 of $32,507.00 for a Trimble Robotic total Station Included <br />a trade-in value of $12,879.48 for the existing Topcon robotic total station to be traded. <br />2) Duncan Parnell Quote No. Q-31251 of $29,063.00 for a Trimble R12i GPS Rover Included a <br />trade-in value of $11,986.44 for the existing Leica GPS Rover to be traded. <br />103 <br />
