TRC has been requested to plan for a future <br />2nd floor on top of that single -story structure. The future 2"d floor will also include two stairs and one elevator starting <br />from the foundation. These will be planned at the same time as the single -story expansion. Accordingly, TRC will <br />analyze and design for a two-story building but prepare drawings only for a single story building with details for <br />column and walls for vertical expansion. <br />For this work our office will bill a lumpsum fee as follows: <br />We will use the following terminology for this proposal. <br />Phase 1 - Single Story Expansion of existing EOC. <br />Phase 2 - Future Construction of 2nd floor on top of Phase 1 and addition of stairs and elevator outside the Phase 1 <br />structure. <br />Task <br />Amount <br />Calculate wind pressures for two story building <br />$ <br />275.00 <br />Schematic design of Phase 2 roof - No drawings to be prepared - Additional time <br />$ <br />525.00 <br />Redesign the Phase 1 roof as 2nd floor for Phase 2 in such a way that it can withstand the wind <br />pressures of the Phase 1 and gravity loads of Phase 2 - for Additional time only <br />$ <br />1,575.00 <br />Schematic Design of the Phase 2 stairs and elevator shaft with their tilt up walls and <br />foundation to make sure the structure systems work during construction of Phase 2 and <br />foundation of Phase 1 are not undermined/ do not need underpinning. <br />$ <br />1,300.00 <br />Design the columns and size the tilt up walls for completed Phase 2 - 2 story structure but stop <br />them above the Phase 1 roof .- for Additional time only <br />$ <br />1,300.00 <br />Design the joints of the columns and the tilt up walls to enable Phase 2 extension for the 2nd <br />floor. <br />$ <br />3,100.00 <br />Design foundation for 2 story building - for Additional time only <br />$ <br />900.00 <br />Coordinate all the above with Arch and MEP. <br />$ <br />900.00 <br />Additional CA for joints for Phase 2 <br />$ <br />525.00 <br />Total <br />$ 10,400.00 <br />S E R V I C E I N N O V A T 1 O N Q U A L I T Y <br />17 <br />
