Chairman Adams inquired about the time schedule, and Mr. <br />Lambeth advised they will start the project as quickly as possible. <br />Commissioner Bird noted that the commercial node at CR -512 is <br />approximately 1000 acres and, of that, a certain portion will be <br />purchased by the state and the designation will be changed so that <br />it will be available for transfer. <br />Director Keating advised that 50 acres of the Coraci property <br />has not been redesignated so we can still use that. <br />The Chairman opened the public hearing and asked if anyone <br />wished to be heard in this matter. <br />Attorney Earl Hall of 633 South Federal Highway, Fort <br />Lauderdale, representing the property owners of 20 acres next to <br />the subject property, expressed concern that this project would <br />adversely affect the value of his clients' property. <br />Steve Boyd, appraiser, of 3201 Cardinal, voiced his concerns <br />that the project will affect the value of his clients' property and <br />will create a non -compatible use. <br />County Attorney Vitunac asked Attorney Hall to contact <br />Director Pinto and stated that staff had been trying to contact Mr. <br />Hall. <br />The Chairman asked if anyone else wished to be heard in this <br />matter. There being none, she closed the public hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board, by a 4-1 vote,, <br />Chairman Adams opposed, adopted Resolution 96-144 <br />(Lambeth - SR60 and SWDD - Oslo Road) approving the <br />transmittal of a proposed amendment to the Indian <br />River County Comprehensive Plan to the State of <br />Florida Department of Community Affairs for its <br />review. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96- 144 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN <br />RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE TRANSMITTAL OF A PROPOSED <br />AMENDMENT TO THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TO THE <br />STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS FOR ITS <br />REVIEW. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners adopted the Indian <br />River County Comprehensive Plan on February 13, 1990, and <br />WHEREAS, the county received comprehensive plan amendment <br />applications during -its July 1996 amendment submittal window, and <br />500K 99 PAGE 168 <br />NOVEMBER 12, 1996 103 <br />
