H. Authorization - Execution and Recordation of Demolition Liens <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of November 1, 1996: <br />TO: The Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: �/, William G. Collins II - Deputy County Attorney <br />DATE: W November 1, 1996 <br />SUBJECT: Authorization re Execution and Recordation of Demolition Liens <br />On July 9, 1996 the Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution No. <br />96-76 which provided for the demolition of certain unsafe structures and for <br />the recovery of costs associated with the demolitions. <br />Certain of those structures outlined in Resolution No. 96-76 have now been <br />demolished, and the County Building Official has furnished the final figures <br />relating to the demolition costs to the County Attorney's Office for <br />preparation of liens. <br />Presented herewith are six demolition liens for your consideration. It is <br />requested that the Board authorize the Chairman to execute each such lien and <br />for the Clerk to the Board to return same to the County Attorney's Office for <br />recordation in the Public Records of Indian River County, Florida. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Tippin, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously approved <br />the Liens to be filed against Viola Rhunette Girven <br />and Brandon Kiewan; Curtis Lee Brown, Sr.; Thomas D. <br />Blackburn and James A. Williams; Charles I. Newbold <br />and Jerylean S. Newbold; Lugene Cobb, Willie James <br />Byron, Nellie C. Shivers and Clemon Cobb; and Eddie <br />R. Jordan, Lucille Brown, Carl Jordan, Frank Jordan, <br />Jr. and Lillie B. Collins; authorized the Chairman <br />to execute each such lien and the Clerk to the Board <br />to return same to the County Attorney's Office for <br />recordation in the Public Records, pursuant to <br />recommendations by staff. <br />LIENS WILL BE RECORDED IN THE PUBLIC RECORDS <br />COPIES ARE ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />NOVEMBER 12, 1996 27 BOO ��'€ <br />
