Titkanich, Jr.,.County Administrator <br />David Johnson, Emergency Services Director <br />Kristin Daniels, Budget Director <br />FROM: Jennifer Hyde, Procurement Manager <br />DATE: March 26, 2025 <br />SUBJECT: Approval of Funding Agreement and Grant Application for Next Generation 9- <br />1-1- Core Services for PSAPs <br />BACKGROUND <br />The Emergency Services District operates the County -wide 911 call taking network and systems, located at the <br />Indian River County Sheriff's Office, City of Sebastian, City of Vero Beach and at the Emergency Operations <br />Center (EOC). These four locations make up the county's Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs). It is <br />necessary to replace the current AT&T legacy 911 routing network and associated database with Next <br />Generation 911 (NG -911) services, with this work previously approved by the Board. <br />The costs for implementation and the first year of service will be provided through a Next Generation Core <br />Services (NGCS) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Grant from the Florida Department of <br />Management Services (DMS), as detailed in the attached State -Funded Agreement. Costs for years two through <br />five will be provided through the Florida Emergency Communications Board (FECB) 911 State Grant. <br />ANALYSIS <br />The Board recently approved an agreement with INdigital to provide the necessary system and service. Staff is <br />now presenting the first year funding agreement with the state, and a grant application to secure funding for <br />years two through five. <br />BUDGETARY IMPACT <br />There is no budgetary impact, as funds were previously authorized by the Board on March 11, 2025. <br />PREVIOUS BOARD ACTIONS <br />On March 11, 2025 the Board approved an agreement with INdigital for delivery of the Next Generation 911 <br />Core Services. <br />POTENTIAL FUTURE BOARD ACTIONS <br />Indian River County, Florida Page 1 of 2 Printed on 4/2/2025 <br />pow e��t / t_egistar'rn, <br />
