Skok, Capital Projects Manager <br />DATE: March 26, 2025 <br />SUBJECT: Fire Station 11 Renovations, Change Order #1 <br />9G <br />Indian River County <br />Administration Complex <br />1801 27th Street <br />Vero Beach, Florida 32960 <br />indianriver.gov <br />Meeting Date: 4/8/2025 <br />BACKGROUND <br />On December 3, 2024, the County entered into a Tripartite Tender Agreement between The Ohio Casualty <br />Insurance Company, Indian River County, and Proctor Construction Company, LLC (PCC) for PCC to become <br />the Completing Contractor of renovation work being performed at Fire Station 11, located at 2555 93rd Street, <br />in Wabasso. The agreement price was $451,512.00 plus an allowance of up to $60,000.00 for the correction of <br />any latent defects discovered after the date of the agreement for a total of $511,512.00. <br />ANALYSIS <br />PCC has spent $58,379.69 of the $60,000.00 allowance between Work Change Directives 1 through 10. PCC is <br />requesting an additional $13,775.69, as follows: <br />Metal Ladder <br />Increase as of 1/1/25, contract proposal was <br />over 30 days <br />300.00 <br />HVAC <br />Increase as of 1/1/25, contract proposal was <br />over 30 days <br />5,485.00 <br />Cultured Marble showers <br />Architect specified <br />9,611.00 <br />Current balance in Latent Defect allowance <br />(1,620.31) <br />Total Addition to Contract through this Change <br />Order <br />13,775.69 <br />BUDGETARY IMPACT <br />Expenses in the amount of $525,287.69 for this project will be recorded in the Emergency Services District <br />Fund/Fire Rescue/Construction In Progress/Fire Station #11 Renovations account, number 11412022-066510- <br />22040. Funding in the amount of $279,640 has been received through Surety Payment from Liberty Mutual to <br />be applied toward completion of the new contract.
