Volume H of the Comprehensive Plan, including the following elements and sub -elements: <br />- Housing Element <br />- Conservation Element <br />- Coastal Management Element <br />- Recreation and Open Space Element <br />- Economic Development Element <br />- Capital Improvement Element <br />- Intergovernmental Coordination Element <br />The Board of County Commissioners should review the Evaluation and Appraisal Reports provided, <br />collect public input, and provide direction to staff. <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners review information provided, collect <br />public input, and provide direction to staff. <br />Director Keating advised that Long -Range Planning Chief Sasan <br />Rohani had supplied a package of information which will be included <br />in the overheads for today's presentation. He explained how the <br />report was structured, that he will use the ELMO and review the <br />objectives for many elements, commenting on those which have been <br />achieved or not achieved and advising why or why not. He will also <br />address the policies for each element and try to determine whether <br />to maintain those policies, or whether they should be revised, <br />deleted, or others added. <br />(At 3:05 p.m., Commissioner Bird entered the meeting.) <br />Recreation and Open Space Element <br />Because Vero Beach/Indian River County Recreation Director Pat <br />Callahan was in the audience, Director Keating took this element <br />first.
