RESOLUTION NO.2025-WZ <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN <br />RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA REQUESTING ASSISTANCE FROM THE STATE OF <br />FLORIDA BEACH EROSION CONTROL PROGRAM - FY 2026/27 <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County has experienced damage to structures and/or <br />coastal lands by beach erosion in areas of public lands; and <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County has established a Beach Preservation Plan and a <br />Beach Restoration Fund to provide strategy and funding for beach restoration activities; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the State of Florida has established a Beach Erosion Control Program <br />for providing financial assistance for erosion control and preservation of the beaches <br />within the State. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the County hereby requests <br />State financial assistance for implementation of coastal erosion control improvements <br />within Indian River County. The County hereby designates the current Coastal Resources <br />Manager for Indian River County, as the Project Manager and Agent on behalf of the County. <br />The foregoing resolution was offered by Commissioner. Joseph H. Earman who <br />moved its adoption. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Susan Adams <br />and, upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows: <br />Chairman, Joseph E.
