Funding for this expenditure is part of the <br />allocation given to the Senior Resource Association to provide transit service in the county. <br />PREVIOUS BOARD ACTIONS <br />The Board has previously approved annual Section 5311 grant applications dating back to FY 09/10. For the <br />current fiscal year (FY 24/25), the Board approved the Section 5311 grant application on August 20, 2024. <br />POTENTIAL FUTURE BOARD ACTIONS <br />To receive the Section 5311 grant funds, the Board will need approve a Public Transportation Grant Agreement <br />(PTGA) with FDOT at a future meeting. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Quality of Life <br />OTHER PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />The operation of the transit system is consistent with the Metropolitan Planning Organization's Transit <br />Development Plan (TDP), which was most recently updated in 2023. <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners adopt the resolution authorizing the filing of the <br />Section 5311 grant application. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1.
