FTA Section 5307 grant revenues in the amount of $141,150 will be used to pay for the design of the transit <br />maintenance building addition. Through the Section 5307 program, FTA covers 100% of all capital expenses of <br />the public transportation system. Sufficient funds will be made available in the General <br />Fund/Agencies/Construction In Progress/SRA Transit Facility Bays Addition, 00111041-066510-25047 <br />account, the County's existing Section 5307 grants, to cover the design expenses. <br />Construction of the transit maintenance building addition will also be paid for with federal grant funds. In <br />coordination with SRA, County staff has programmed funds for the maintenance building addition in the FTA <br />Section 5307 grants for both FY 2024 and FY 2025. <br />PREVIOUS BOARD ACTIONS <br />On March 2, 2010, the Board approved a design services contract with Schulke, Bittle, and Stoddard for the <br />original transit facility. <br />POTENTIAL FUTURE BOARD ACTIONS <br />At a future meeting, the Board will need to award a contract to construct the maintenance building addition. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Quality of Life <br />OTHER PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />The maintenance building addition is consistent with the Metropolitan Planning Organization's Transit <br />Development Plan (TDP), which was most recently updated in 2023. <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends the Board approve the work order with Schulke, Bittle, and Stoddard, LLC, for design of the <br />transit maintenance building addition and authorize the Chairman to execute the work order. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1.
