Miller and Indian River County entered into a lease agreement for the use of the <br />property located at 1893 90' Avenue, Vero Beach, Florida to serve as a short-term location for modular Fire - <br />Rescue Station #7. <br />ANALYSIS <br />On May 2, 2017, an Amendment to the Lease Agreement was approved reflecting St. Lucie County Battery and <br />Tire Company as the Lessor on the agreement. The initial term on the lease agreement was 24 months with the <br />option to renew for 3 additional one (1) year terms. On June 11, 2019, the County utilized the final one (1) year <br />extension and the lease expired on June 18, 2020. On August 18, 2020, the Board approved a second <br />amendment and renewal of the property lease with the option to renew for 3 additional one (1) year terms. On <br />July 6, 2021, the Board renewed the lease agreement for the first one (1) year term. On June 21, 2022, the <br />Board renewed the lease agreement for the second one (1) year term. On June 6, 2023, the Board renewed the <br />lease agreement for the third one (1) year term. The current lease is due to expire on June 18, 2025 and at this <br />time, staff is requesting to extend the lease for an additional one (1) year term. The current monthly lease <br />amount is $1,194.05. ($14,328.60 annually). The new rate will be increased by 3% to $1,229.87 per month <br />($14,758.46 annually).
